Ski & Snowboard Mountain Guide/Team Flyers Assistant Coach- Training

*Pre-Requisite Training: Ski & Snowboard Assistant Volunteer

This training is for volunteers 18 years or older who have already attended an Assistant Volunteer Training. Volunteers must be intermediate to advanced skiers to qualify.

Mountain Guides are volunteers with a deep knowledge of Park City Mountain, Canyons, or Deer Valley. They act as a guide for participants who aren't familiar with the resort or that just want a buddy to ride with. Mountain Guides do not provide instruction.

Team Flyers Assistant Coaches are volunteer that assist with our Special Olympics team in freestyle and downhill race training. The team practices each Session Saturday. Assistant Coaches assist individual athletes and help keep the group together and having fun!

Training for these two positions is combined because for both you'll need the same skills and safety knowledge to work with participants one-on-one. This training takes place indoors at our NAC Mountain Center at Park City Mountain Resort. After the training you're able to sign up for both positions, or just the one that interests you most.
